Meet Dr. Morettin
Dr. Morettin is a dedicated optometrist, passionate about providing top-quality care in Toronto. Her extensive training in ocular disease ensures that every patient receives the best care possible.
With a special focus on glaucoma, neuro-ophthalmic disease, and anterior segment disease, Dr. Morettin goes above and beyond to safeguard her patients' vision and eye health.
She completed her Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Waterloo and completed her residency in Primary care/Ocular disease at the Illinois College of Optometry and the Illinois Eye Institute, located in Chicago, IL. She completed an internship at the St. Albans VA Medical Center, located in Queens, NY.
After residency, she was faculty at the Illinois College of Optometry from 2014-22 and was promoted to Associate Professor during her time there. She was also Chief of the Urgent Eye Care Clinic at the Illinois Eye Institute from 2015-22. She also worked weekly at a pediatric clinic affiliated with the Chicago Public School system.
She is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, and she is a member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists. She is a consultant for Accreditation Council on Optometric Education, and was a member of the Illinois Diversity in Healthcare Task Force and the Illinois Prescription Monitoring Program, where she was a part of an interdisciplinary team reviewing data on controlled substance prescribing.
Her duties in eye care are not limited to her clinical practice. She volunteers for the American Academy of Optometry as a Chair on the Fellowship Admittance Committee. She also lectures for various organizations for continuing education events. She has been involved in numerous research projects and enjoys the art of publishing in peer-reviewed journals.
In 2022, she relocated with her family from Chicago to Toronto, where she is currently practicing at the Yonge St. Clair Eye Center, in midtown, Toronto.
